Dear Island Park Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 academic year!
As we prepare to begin another exciting school year, I want to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to all our families, both those returning and those new to our district. We are proud to have you as part of the Island Park community.
As Superintendent of Schools, I am honored to serve you and your children. Our district remains committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where all students can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
This year marks year two of our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, and our collective efforts will center on bringing our Learner Profile to life in every classroom and school across the district. The Learner Profile describes the knowledge, skills, and attributes we want every Island Park graduate to embody—such as being innovative, resilient, a critical thinker, a responsible decision-maker, and a civic-minded global contributor. These qualities will guide our instructional decisions and help shape meaningful learning experiences for every child.
Throughout the school year, our dedicated educators will continue to deliver rigorous and engaging instruction while nurturing each student’s academic, social-emotional, and personal development. With a strong emphasis on the Learner Profile, we aim to ensure that our students are well prepared for success in a rapidly changing world.
We deeply value the partnership between home and school. Ongoing communication and collaboration with families are essential to supporting our students. Our website, newsletters, and social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram, will keep you informed of important updates, events, and resources. I also encourage you to explore the District calendar, which highlights key dates and opportunities for family engagement throughout the year.
I begin this new academic year filled with optimism and gratitude for our students, our dedicated staff, and for you, our supportive families. With shared purpose and partnership, I am confident we will continue to accomplish great things together.
Here’s to a rewarding and inspiring school year ahead.
Together We Are Better!
Warm regards,
Vincent Randazzo
